Creating a New Beginning

There are times that you have to get rid of all that is old and start from a new beginning. You don’t have to wait for a new year or a new season to create a new beginning. You can do it now. First, I intend to change my physical surroundings by letting go of material things I no longer need or use. I was attempting to sell them, I was going to start with the Facebook Marketplace, but I kept putting off taking pictures, creating descriptions, and so on. They are taking up space and energy that it has become necessary to give them away and be done with them.

The second intention is to let go of the idea of posting articles on a regular basis. I was attempting to write almost weekly that I ended up not wanting to write. It has been over four years since my last article on my webpage. What is it with writers that have all these ideas to communicate but when it actually comes down to doing it we find reasons not to write them? Maybe that can be a subject of another article but for now let me continue on with this new beginning.

As I mentioned, it has been some time since I wrote the last article. In fact, it is the focus of what I would like to become – someone of action rather than only thinking and talking of ideas. That last article was about blessings and fellowship. I had hoped it would create a movement of people giving something – even the smallest something – to others. Not only to pass on but to actually create a fellowship of kindness…of love with one another. To ensure that no one is alone, that everyone knows we are connected to each other. To treat each other as sacred beings…because we are.

Even though the idea of a movement appears to be a bit much, I am not going to give up on it. I will only have to have more faith in others to accomplish it. I will call this movement “Blessings Upon All”. I still have the paper craft blessings and I will still pass them out. I have written nearly 30 blessings and have a handful more in my head to get down on paper. My goal this time is to primarily share them digitally; via social media.

I have created another webpage for Blessings Upon All – http://www.blessingsuponall.com It will be linked with I am a Spiritual Adventurer. I will continue to write when I can but my main focus is getting the blessings out there in the simplest format available to me. My Facebook page will change to Blessings Upon All. I will archive the Twitter page for I am a Spiritual Adventurer and create a new one for Blessings Upon All. I will create a page on Instagram as well. This is only the beginning of a new chapter for me. I would like to take this moment to thank you for being part of all that I have done in the past and having the patience to see if I would do anything new. Here I am starting something new with a dusty idea. With a little polishing and your assistance, this journey will be worth the wait.
